Has it's qwerks but worth the money.
DonDecember 2, 2017
I've used this to drill over 1000 holes and it's held up ok. The plastic caps have broken off a couple times and I've glued them back on. There's a bit of play in it so it's definitely not for precise work but it does a good job at keeping an approximate angle. I found that the chuck would loosen after excess use so I had to retighten it after about every 20 holes to keep the bit from falling out. I'm still looking for a good way to store the chuck key on the device. Everything that I've tried so far doesn't last for more than 100 holes.
Even with these qwerks I keep finding myself going back to it for various tasks. It's been worth the money for me and has found it's place in my shop.
Works well.

This works as expected, and helps to assure that holes are drilled perpendicular to the surface. It can be clamped onto a workpiece or mounted temporarily with screws. It does not have the rigidity of a drill press, so it's necessary to center-punch the hole location if accuracy is important. On the other hand, this can be used in locations impossible for a drill press such as large dimension lumber or large sheet panels. Be sure to lubricate the slides and spindle as the unit is completely dry coming out of the box.

I was able to drill with forstner 13/16 bit from both sides of a treated true 8x8 and the holes met perfectly. I was surprised and happy. I was a able to do eight holes this way. It's a little bit wobbly but the holes still aligned. Very good value for the money.
Improves precision over eyeballing it, but doesn't replace a drill press

It's pretty handy, but there is some play in the chuck mechanism which compromises its accuracy. It doesn't replace a drill press but for portability and price it's great for projects where you need about 90% precision but not much more than that.
Instead buy Big Gator Tools drill guides.

It is not awful, but I would save my money and instead buy the Bit Gator Tools drill guides. I don't have a drill press and was wanting to get this thing to keep from buying one. But this jig is just not that good.
