This does what it's supposed to & it's well made. Buuuut, a little tweaking would make it better. The metal pieces that keep the laptop from sliding forward are right where your wrists rest & dig into them. I've tried putting something over them, but it's still a pain in the "wrists". Seems like they could make them adjustable easy enough & it would solve that problem. Other than that, it's great.

This is excellent. I was propping my laptop up with a book and making a lot of typos. This adjusts to your best typing position and/or watching videos. It looks very hi-tech, and as stated, perfect ventilation. My Dell Experion 3147 is 12" across and 7 1/2" deep. There is room to spare. I was worried about my laptop sliding off, but the holders are high enough to ensure that does not happen.

Very light weight and can be folded shut for travel. Attaching the rubber cord holder was the trickiest part. It keeps cords separated, but it's in the back and my cords attach on the sides. I'll probably never use that, but it's there. I am very happy, and no typos were harmed in this writing.

Shipping was quick. Would like to rate higher because the product itself functions fine but It was horribly packaged. I unwrapped the outer plastic and it looked like it was thrown down a metal staircase and rewrapped. The outer frame on the metal mesh portion was all scratched up and blacked and the 2 of the inner rectangular grip pads were half off so I had to press them back on with my hands. One of the small circular grip pads had completely lost its stickiness and i'll probably need to reattach with glue or something.

Purchased this to improve my posture at night since my neck and back fatigue quickly throughtout the day, so I still plan on using it and don't really want to go through the hassle of repacking and reshipping just because of a few pads and scratches. As I said the product itself functions as described, I was just unimpressed by the quality or lack of care in packaging. I don't think it was a shipping and handling issue because the amazon box it came in was perfectlly fine.

Since I knew my laptop vents on the bottom and gets very hot, I really researched these stands before buying and paid attention to the review comments. In particular, comments that it actually allows airflow through the mesh, instead of collecting the heat on some other surfaces. And about the angle at the lowest setting being pretty comfortable for typing on the keyboard. Those two were most important to me, but I also liked that in the box comes included a rubbery little gadget that attaches to the back so that when you remove your laptop from the stand and unplug it from the cord, the cord stays in place due to this little channel thingy. And it actually works! I thought it was rather expensive, but Rolodex did a good job in designing this product. Thank you!!

Why oh why did it take me so long to get one of these? It is totally handy. I have a 17" MacBook and it fits perfectly. BTW, it comes with a metal prop thingy so that the computer could almost be stood on its head :) but I'm not using that. It works for my purposes just propping the computer rack part against the bottom which lifts the back of the computer almost 3" and it slants down from there. This allows the computer to get some air and the 3" prop is high enough to type comfortably. The only negative is that the two metal props in front which keep the computer from sliding off are located where one's arms are when typing. This gets very uncomfortable but I intend to go to the hardware store and buy something rubber to cover them as one needs to use something grippy and not slippery. Right now I have a rolled up napkin over them! It is critical of course to have the props to keep the computer from sliding off, I just wish they were already covered. I'd still buy this however as it is great for holding my laptop at a perfect angle.

Another really, really big plus is that this Rolodex Laptop Stand has ended the stand-off between me and kittie. We went at it every night as we both wanted to use the keyboard, me to type and her to prop her head for sleeping never mind the cap lock, turning up and/or down the brightness, tabbing for me, etc. I usually won but sometimes not happily like I'd have to keep my hand propped up against her head which meant hunting/pecking when typing or I'd have to keep turning her around which she hated, well, you all get the picture. So thanks Rolodex for lifting my laptop just enough that she's decided to give up on the keypad and prop her head against the stand itself. We're both happy as she still has her side of the desk and I have my side but now I have two-handed use of the keypad and she is happily napping next to me and the computer STAND. Yipee!!
