Do not buy this product. I had the unit operating for not even two weeks. I connected a toilet, sink and a shower tub combo. At first it worked fine. On Sunday, my daughter told me the toilet was not flushing. I felt the top of the unit and it was hot to the touch. Being a 38 year veteran mechanical/ electrical contractor I knew the motor was not rotating. I took the whole unit apart piece by piece and noticed the blade was not turning. There was hair around the blade and between the mounting plate and the cutting blade. The motor was fine but the blade would not rotate. If you are bald this unit would work very well. In all fairness Saniflow has very nice people in tech support. Buy a quality sewage ejector pump and holding tank and call it a day.

Put a bathroom in the garage without having to cut through the concrete and place a larger drain. I used this to connect a shower, washer, toilet and sink to a 2 inch drain. Works flawlessly.

I bought a house that had a long (14 foot) narrow (6 foot) Master bath. The toilet was just inside the inward opening door. If someone passed out on the toilet their body would block the door. A concern with older people living in the house. I decided to move the toilet to the other end of the bathroom but the slope of the drain pipe would not be enough to carry the black water away. This solved the problem. The toilet flushes straight down by gravity to the utility room in the basement and the grinder. This unit grinds it up then shoots it 20 feet with pressure to the main drain pipe. The negative is the check valve to prevent back flow is in a right angle fitting ot top. If it is not on tight it blows off from the pressure and you get ground paper and poo blown around. I used gorilla tape to add an additional level of security so it will not happen.. again. (The second bathroom had the same problem but I could not move the toilet so I cut the door into a Dutch door. The top half can be opened from the outside in case the door is blocked.
