More of a decorative item than a light source

This makes a nice decorative item. It is too small to be much of a light source. I did put some paraffin oil into it and added a bit of essential oils for fragrance and, on low, it did a fair job. No leaks. Overall I am happy with this purchase. For a source of light, I would recommend this item's 12" big brother.

You can pretty much burn any oil in this thing ;that isn't combustible) and it works exactly as long as the night is dark. It's also super light and can take a beating, two of my favorite characteristics.

Wonderful oil lamp. Going to need to do some diy to fix the stamped bottom plate that leaks. Hopefully Jb weld should do the trick.

I got this to use for used waste motor oil, did not want to spend 60 on some competitors. So far does not leak and works just like it should, I will need a different kind of wick for the motor oil, it burns through the wick way to fast
