pin breaks off

I bought this for my softball league. Within one week of using it, the metal pin that holds the turning lever in place popped out. Even after reinserting the pin, it is loose and has popped out again rendering the lever useless so that the tape cannot be recoiled.
Don't waste our money on this piece

Cheap construction. Handle broke, repaired with a hanger was a replacement pin, end piece broke off now even more hard to wind, now tape breaking apart. Don't waste our money on this piece. Should not be offered on Amazon or anywhere.

I use this to measure out sports fields pretty regularly throughout the spring/summer. It works great but it's definitely a little bit cheap. The pin holding the handle on fell out but I was able to repair it with a bit of wire so it's fine. Other than that it's held up pretty well even though I've used it in mud & rain majority of the time.

This is working wonderfully for me. Smooth action, easy retrieval, and I even left it out for two days in cool damp weather and it was not harmed at all. I highly recommend it.
