My dogs love them. Nice that they are sweet potato.

These are excellent and my pupper prefers them but after some experimentation, they aren't *my* preferred dental chew for her. I think it's because she's a crazy super-chewer and speed eater and that lessens the effect (see below). She's a 35lb KVD/Jindo Mix.

We were given some Whimzees when we adopted her so that's what she'd started on and they seemed to work well. We had to go without those for a while when cutting out yeast during an allergy test so Greenies were the replacement. They did work (definitely better than no chews at all) but I noticed her breath was a bit worse (it actually smelled a bit whereas she has absolutely no breath issues while on Whimzees) and her teeth didn't seem to be getting as clean.

I *think* it's simply because Greenies are softer and my super-chewing doggo just devours them too fast for them to have an effect. She doesn't need to chew them as much, which defeats the purpose. I would have to try the larger size to see if that made a difference but since those are more expensive per chew, I'm stopping the experiment here and sticking with what already works for her.

Once the allergy test was over, I had stock of three different dental chew brands so I was letting her pick between them every day. She *always* went for the Greenies. Every single time. She definitely prefers them, taste-wise. But since I felt like Whimzees worked better for her dental health, I swapped back to them. They take her longer to get through and there was an immediate improvement to her breath/teeth.

She also loves to play with both brands equally, for what it's worth. She excitedly tosses them around a bit before settling down to chomp on them.

So I actually now use the remaining Greenies as an occasional treat (broken up) because she seems to love them so much (and Whimzees is the daily dental chew). We'll see how it goes but I might actually buy more in the future just for that reason. Either way, I would have no problems recommending Greenies for dogs that won't have an issue with the chew time like mine does.

(If you're curious, the third brand of chews I tried was Natural Dog Company Premium Dental Treats. She licked one and refused to touch them ever again so they had to go in the trash.)
