I went ahead and bought my solar panel from might mule thinking it would be a better quality product. Well I stand corrected. Only lasted about a year before it stopped working. For the price I would have expected it to last longer. I would take you money and just buy another brand. Only reason two star is due to the installation kit and frame were pretty good and didn't look like an eye soar

This whole system was a waste of money and a bunch of junk. We bought two batteries and the solar panel and it all died within 2 months of useage - just outside the return window. We only used the gate maybe once a day and was in a very sunny spot with direct sun all day. At least Home Depot accepted the return of the gate openers - Mighty Mules response to why it died and wouldn't hold a charge was "keep trying different batteries and maybe one will work...".
That is not a solution. It's junky product from a junky company. Very disappointed in their customer service along with quality.
Save your money and look for a different gate opening solution.

Easy to install, well built, has all the parts you need

Very easy to install on a wood fence post and has all the parts you need. I found that snow glides off the solar panel very easily. Snow does stack up on it, but the slightest breeze blows it right off.

So far love it. It's been about six weeks since the install (which was easy) and it's kept up the battery on our entrance gate. We are low use users though because we probably only open and close it 3 or 4 times a day tops.
