Replaced traditional threaded stem furniture glides on a dining room table. One of the previous feet broke leaving a metal stud that scratched a hardwood floor when the table was expanded beyond the area rug.
These are great--spun into place quickly and have made it a breeze to move the table (almost too easy...). We have table that can expand to seat 22 and is quite heavy: expanding the table has required lifting it. The new sliders only require lifting when you have to get the legs back up onto the run and move very well on both the hardwood floor and rug.
The broader footprint makes the legs fell less vulnerable to breaking another glider.
