Crisp, clear audio recorder for phone calls

No better tool to record landline phone conversations. All that is needed is a standard digital recorder with 'mic' input. Connect the phone line to this device, as well as the recorder, hit record, and voila, it's done! The quality of the audio is as good as it gets. Super crisp and clear. Use this device regularly for work.

The sound of the dialed caller is very distorted and sometimes inaudible. I am able to use it sometimes but you don't know until you play the audio back. I would not recommend this product at all.

Did not work. I already have 2 of these type of telephone record coupler's. They are a different brand (old R.S) and do work really good. I thought as they were very old that I should invest in a backup one. This one (VEC TRX-20 2.5MM Direct Connect Telephone...) did not work right out of the box. I tried using it on different corded phones and attached as instructed. It's suppose to attach between the the headset and base of a corded phone. I re-connected the older "R.S" brand ones and they still worked. I see in the reviews that some others didn't work right out of the box as well. Guessing that there is a manufacturing issue here and not all items are checked before being shipped. QC issues?

This device works exactly as it is supposed to. The key is to find the correct setting of the sliding switch, which has seven different possibilities. So, in a lot of cases, it will take some trial and error to figure out what the optimal setting for you device will need to be. But, once that is discovered, everything will work just as it is supposed to work. "Peace and long life."

This was so easy and used it to tape a psychic online so I wouldn't forget all that I was told! Of course I asked for permission first. So I'm happy.. would be a good gadget to have when you're getting prank phone calls also. don't know if that's illegal or not? just a thought though.. easy
