Our freezer has an ice maker, but didn't come with a sanitary scoop, so I searched online. I first bought another one, but I could tell it would not hold enough ice and we'd be scooping multiple times per person.

Then I found this one, which was a little bigger and came in different colors. I picked the cheaper color.

The plastic is sturdy, but although it might be dishwasher safe, we wash it by hand.

It's stayed in the freezer, and doesn't appear to be affected by the low temperature.

The handle is comfortable, and the size is just right for a large glass of ice, or two smaller glasses of ice. The texture is neither smooth nor rough - it's exactly what's needed for scooping. No rough spots to cut skin, and not slippery. Just right!

At first we were concerned that the scoop size would be too large for a normal glass, but we haven't had any issues with it. We just angle the scoop a little while pouring ice into a glass, and only occasionally get a runaway ice cube - no more than we would if we used any other method.

I could see this scoop working in a lot of different capacities - for dry goods, pet food, and more - but for us, it works as needed for scooping ice from the freezer.

Great price and does the job

Bought this to scoop concrete out of bags & into buckets for mixing. No issues.

Good price, good size, sturdy. I'm using it at the beach right now, but could see it used for many other things.

Sturdy and well made. I use it to scoop cat food from bin to bowls. Not very large, but perfect for what I use it for.
