If you install this as per the instructions exactly, it will install perfectly and you can take comfort in that you have done everything possible to secure your belongings. With the ball bearings and ball bearing covers pounded in I have not figured out how this could be removed. it might be overkill but its protecting MY stuff.

I store my bike in a shared garage with neighbors who sometimes forget to lock the doors. This anchor is just what I needed, and I'm using it along with the New York Legend Chain. It seems very secure but was an ordeal to install. I am a lifelong apartment dweller and not very familiar with home improvement projects and power tools. My boyfriend obligingly got out his drill and started drilling into the concrete garage floor with the included bits -- it didn't go well. We ended up renting a rotary hammer, along with compatible bits, from Home Depot for about $50. With this, the drilling lasted about 10 minutes total, which was enough to royally piss off my neighbors in the building. I hope to live the rest of my life without ever being that close to a rotary hammer again, but now that the job is done I'm happy with the anchor.

I am very pleased with this anchor, it works wonderfully with the "fahgettaboudit" lock (also from Kryptonite).
Installation was very easy and straightforward, it did come with hammer drill bits, but they did not have keyways on them for the hammer drill's chuck, so I had to use others.
Regardless, installation instructions were good, kit was well thought-out, and I anticipate years of trouble-free security out of this unit.

Love this thing! Had it installed by my apartment's management (they used a regular drill but wished they had a hammer drill instead). The piece feels very durable and is great with Kryptonite's Faghettaboutit chain and U-lock. Has kept my motorcycle safe outside in an apartment complex (prime spot for motorcycle thieves) for the past few months.
Great way to secure your ATV/motorcycle to a floor

You want/need a solid mount to secure your ATV or motorcycle while in the garage? Look no further. I love Kryptonite products and will always buy them if they remain at this level of quality and security. I anchored this in the back corner of my garage right into the concrete floor, and have one of the heavy duty unbreakable Kryptonite chains securing my ATV to it. No way anyone is breaking into it easily or in a short period of time.
