Good soup base.

I can't find these in local stores and the price was reasonable. I forgot how bland lentils can be so will up the seasoning for my next batch of soup. I followed my recipe but soup came out with good texture but little flavor.
Great Brand of Canned Lentils

In honor of my daughter I'm going to try and keep this short, who after reading my Moana review says I write too much, and asked for permission to rat me out if she every heard anybody complaining about my crazy review. Yes babe, you sure can. I stand by all my crazy. Have ordered 2 batches of these, they come shrink wrapped, sell by dates on both listed 1-2 years in the future. One can did come with a small dent in the last batch, but according to the US Dept of Agriculture website, small dents are not a safety problem. Only if it's big enough to crease the can or the sealed lid can a dent lead to bacterial contamination. Quality of product has been good, and very much a life saver on time strapped nights. Individual cans comparably priced to our local store, and lower in sodium then some brands-yippee! Seriously love these!
Taste good. All dented.

Taste good but every can was dented significantly. How do the cans in the middle get so dented?
best beans

Rarely do I plan far enough in advance to soak and cook beans from scratch. This is the best brand of canned beans I've found. Organic beans, water, sea salt. That's it. Even though it says "chili" these are not pre-seasoned, so they are a blank canvas for your own seasonings. I like the mix of three beans in one can. I get the mix I want, without having to buy 3 separate cans of different beans and make a bigger batch of chili than two people can eat. Our, local grocery store quit carrying them. So happy to have them delivered to my doorstep by Amazon.
Westbrae Beans Are Good - Soy Is No Exception

As low carb bean substitutes, these are pretty good. The cans are BPA free; the beans themselves are organic and non-GMO verified (which means no pesticide/herbicide issues). There are 6 grams net carbs and 11 grams protein per serving.
Good stuff.
Good stuff.
