Nice cheap intake, may require some port + polish

Nice simple intake. Excellent price. I did have to remove a big chunk of aluminum from an intake runner. (casting defect)

Center 4 bolt holes machined wrong for 88 c1500 with factory iron heads... Even if they weren't the setup of this intake would make it very hard to properly torque the center 4 bolts.
Half inch less height

Installed in 1978 corvette. Lots of air cleaner options. This is .5in less carb pad height than edelbrock square bore. That half inch comes in handy. Replaced Qjet on edelbrock manifold to this with edelbrock carb. There is enough height with drop based cleaners. The stock cleaner will fit with short spacer but the front vaccum actuator on left side is real close to hood.
Time for a change.....

I've been wanting to upgrade intake on my classic car for a long time but wasn't sure of performance gain........finally upgraded with this Weiand aluminum intake and WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! I highly recommend this intake to anyone looking to get better performance from their small block Chevy engine. It also improved my gas mileage!

Recommend to anyone thinking of upgrading to an aluminum manifold for street use, easy install, no problems with threads or holes lining up. Crisp throttle response (used with Holley 1850)
