Extremely disappointed with these. Spent $40 buying 2 of them. The locking mechanism broke off of one of them the second time out with the boat. Do not buy these.
Fastening mechanism did not hold up

Nice product but did not work on my pontoon the first bump while docking broke the turn buckles fastening each in place. Lost one fender and the other 3 k now just tie rope on railing. Looked like they would be good and nice idea but did not work for me.
Junk

Broke first time we used it. Better off just tying a knot
Work well, just somewhat fragile

The tidy-ups work well and look nice. The only drawback is that they're not standing up to challenging conditions. After contributing two fenders to the northern Great Lakes, I began to tie the bitter end of the fender line to the railing. I have since broken the twist snap on two more fender tidy-ups -- one in rough seas when a fender caught some water while underway and another as a fender briefly hung up on a dock post while landing. I've decided to stick with them and have replaced the broken ones. I highly recommend tying them to something sturdy, though, or you'll end up buying more fenders, too!

I would buy again. I love the way you can just drop the line and it catches right there. Don't forget to tie a stopper knot on the end of the line.
