Arrived on time and as described. I had purchased a similar shaker from Pampered Chef years ago, and I need a second one but couldn't find a dealer, so I looked online... the PC shaker is pretty much the same as this one, only with a more opaque white, and a teensy bit sturdier plastic? Perhaps not, either way Amazon's Norpro model is about a dollar less, and with *prime* free shipping, so I went with Amazon. It works exactly the same as the PC brand.

Now, I see in other reviews that folks are concerned about the inner screen just falling off insecure - the screen goes on first, then a ring, then the cap to keep the contents fresh. Because the whole thing is made of hard plastic, yes, at times it make stick - I have the same issue with my PC shaker and also with a stainless steel shaker I own, this is the nature of these shakers, it's all good.

Shaker arrived as promised. Small mesh screen will do the job.
BUT, I nearly returned it right after opening. The plastic ring that holds the mesh screen was attached to the domed lid. Thought I needed to unsrew it, but there's nothing to grab hold of. Another reviewer stated that the domed lid is slide on. With that knowledge, I was able to pull the plastic ring out of the lid & screw it onto the base.
Now I am a happy camper.

perfect for powder sugar...kind of chincey, but I think it will hold up for a very long time if handled with care. If you turn the plastic lid, it will unscrew the piece that holds the screen in. You have to PULL the plastic lid off to use the shaker. (after you fill it up.)

This is a product I was extremely disappointed in. I only kept it because I was in desperate need of a sifter for powdered sugar for baking I was doing. The first one was missing a part and a replacement was sent several days later. It is NOWHERE near the quality of Pampered Chef one I had before, and used for years. It's only because I brought it to my vacation home that it's not here and I needed a second. I think Pampered Chef just sells them at home parties, so that I couldn't replace it, and decided to try trusty Amazon.

. The plastic is very, very, cheap, thin and the most difficult part was removing the cap from the white plastic part that secures the strainer on the base. It was near impossible. I was unable to budge it, my husband had to forcefully use a tool and then his swiss army knife to pry it from the cap. It was glued on tighter than I have ever seen and would never expect the average lady, like myself, to be able to handle that maneuver. It almost broke in the process, and even he was frustrated!
The price was not awful, but I guess you get what you pay for. I filled it with my powdered sugar and replaced the cap. we will see how it stores, stays sealed and keeps the sugar fresh and safe. Sorry, I did not love this sifter and would not recommend it to anyone else.

I use this shaker for flour dusting. I love making fresh pasta and being able to grab the shaker instead of reaching my fingers in the flour bag, makes for a less messy job.
The flour is nice and fine from the mesh screen. I'm sure it will work with powdered sugar too.
