Great option for apartment dwellers or other people who can't easily hide a litter box

I've had this litter box for my 3 year old neutered boy pretty much since I first adopted him and it's really nice. While it's definitely on the expensive side, it's worth it to me as you can't tell at first glance that it's a litter box. That's great, considering there isn't really a good place to hide the litter box in my home, so it's very visible in a hallway. I also like it's round shape - even though it holds as much litter as most rectangular boxes, it's circular design just makes it feel less obtrusive somehow. Finally, its round shape means that I can angle the doorway to be partially facing the wall, with still plenty of room for my boy to get in and out, in order for the door to be not as as visible and so that odors are more contained.
I did get the matching utility pan as a liner, as well as different fake plants from my local Jo-Ann Fabrics that looked a bit more realistic than the fake plant this came with. I did have to laugh though, as whoever designed this must not have cats themselves - the fake grass that you're supposed to put around the base of the fake plant is truly a cat magnet. My kitty was nosing through that stuff and had it shredded all over the floor before I even had the fake plant set up. :P Other than that, though, this is a nice option for people whose homes, like mine, just don't have a great spot to hide away a litter box.

A mediocre litterbox with a cheap plant.

I was intrigued by this amazing excrement container. The thought of my cats going in there to do their businrss under the guise of a plant seemed magical. I ordered this hoping to make my cat's toilet less conspicuous. When it came, it was pretty huge all things considered. I would have given it 5 stars, but shelling out $50 for a kitty porta pottie was pretty steep, and it was not usable as is. The plant itself is a joke. I mean... really bad. The "moss" was a choking hazard waiting to happen. But all in all my cats (Lyanna and Ned) like it. They even tried to make a shadoobie in it before I could even put it together. This litter pan is worth $30 at the most. I plan on switching out the plant, and I already used some glass marbles instead of the "moss" it came with. Those marbles were supposed to be for centerpieces for my wedding, but hey, what better purpose than to adorn my cat's washroom?
Update: I added new pics of my new and improved plant thanks to Joann Fabrics floral department. I mean, considering how exotic it looks, I now consider myself the Martha Stewart if litterbox decorating. Is that a beautiful orchid I see? Nope. Just my cat's smelly litterbox. Got you though!

Great solution for small apartment

I hated having the litter box out in the open in my new apartment, as the only spot to put it besides my bedroom was the dining room. This is very inconspicuous, and the only thing that alludes to what it is are the litter track mats I have in front of it. I place the opening towards the corner so my cat can still get in, but I don't have to look at it. Win-win! I also purchased the Litter Scoopy, a holder the shape of a cat that hides the scoop. I did spray paint both the "vase" part of the box and the scoop holder a speckled bronze to match my decor. It dried to a shiny finish, which makes it easier to wipe it all down with a Clorox wipe for cleanings. The plastic as it came seemed a little porous.
This item arrived quickly and is very easy to put together

This item arrived quickly and is very easy to put together. It is perfect in my screened patio! I bought a few clear plastic planter saucers at Walmart (1.54$) to put in the bottom and make it easier to clean. You need the 16 inch saucers. I also bought 3 plastic plants at .97$ to make the foliage look fuller. I am very pleased with my purchase. And it looks great on the patio!
Works just fine, as long as you don't have OCD tendencies and don't care about the cleanliness of your house.

We have three cats. We bought two of these. We are very good about keeping up after our cats, cleaning the boxes three times a day. I get that what I'm putting in this review may be subjective. Maybe you're lucky and have cats that have...better "litter etiquette" than our cats. However, we can't control that, and don't have these problems to anywhere near this extent with other litter boxes.
I'll give it two stars because in all fairness, the box does seems to be made well, so...at least it has that going for it. We didn't have the problems that other people here seem to be having getting the lid to fit (it's not rocket science...there's a lip, and you have to fit the two halves together). I can't speak to how long they would hold up over time, though.
What I CAN speak to is that bagless litter boxes are disgusting, and just a bad idea in general. With our other (bagged) litter boxes, when pee-soaked-litter sticks to the sides, a quick shake of the box or tapping it against the ground typically loosens the whole thing, and you can scoop it up really easily. That is definitely NOT the case with this box. With this box, no amount of tapping or swishing around gets this stuff un-stuck. When you try to get it loose with a scooper, well...look at the picture I attached. It doesn't help that the sides of the box are rounded, which makes it all the more difficult to scoop this stuff. Really, really gross. All those pee-chunks just break apart while you're trying to get them off the sides, and they distribute all through the box. Then your cats scoot their feet through it. Then they walk around your house and step on your stuff. FYI -- this is using the same litter we were using in the old boxes.
I'm not naive. I realize that no matter how much you clean it, it's never fully clean; you never get it *all* out. But, with this box, I can't even come close. As for cleaning this thing between litter changings...after you dump the contents into a garbage bag, you've got to take it outside, hose it down, scrape off (and I *mean* scrape) what's on the sides, and sanitize it. Due to the design of this box, you can't really use a bag. At best it would partially block the entrance that the cats use, and their claws would eventually just tear it. At least with the bagged litter boxes, changing it is as simple as pulling out the bag, and maybe a quick Clorox-wipe around the inside of the box in case anything did seep through.
I can't see how using this box is a sanitary solution for managing your cats' business. Maybe it looks a little bit less like a litter box than other litter boxes do but, it's not an even trade-off. The added mess and cleaning that comes with this box just isn't worth it.
