Love Kohler products and finishes

I'm a huge Kohler fan, but these soap dispensers tend to go south rather quickly, no matter what kind of soap is used in them. This is the second one I've bought for my daughter's house. Kohler said there is only a one year warranty, which is too bad, because it's a beautifully designed product that seems a shame to toss. For some reason the guts fail prematurely. I have Kohler soap dispensers in my own home (not this model), and have not had a failure in nine years. Who knows why?

I installed a couple of these in my new kitchen and they look great although the Kohler brand upcharge makes then expensive. I don't like the bottom hole outlet on the spout would rather have it come out of the end just a small complaint. I also did not use the provided bottle, I attached a similar size plastic tubing into the pump to a half gallon soap bottle on the rear cabinet floor. It pumps soap up to the sink no problem and I very rarely have to exchange the bottle. Saves refilling and screwing a little bottle up behind the sink.

I bought this to replace a Grohe dispenser that broke after 5 years. Since I wasn't committed to the Grohe brand or idea of paying a premium price for an unexceptional product I started looking at other options online and in stores. To my surprise most of the dispensers were made almost entirely of plastic, not metal. This Kohler model is metal and has a solid weight and feel. I like the styling of this unit and it actually looks better with my Grohe faucet than the original did. Only small issue is that the pump is a little harder to depress -- not bad but it does require more force.
Great product that still works perfectly and looks brand new three years later!

I've had this for months now, and this soap dispenser works great. Hubby bought a cheaper no name dispenser that would not work at all. I went with a well respected name (Kohler) and got what I paid for. It looks like it came with the faucet. It's shiny , works every time, and refills from the top. Now, who got the real bargain?

It's been three years, and this soap dispenser acts like the Energizer Bunny: it keeps working beautifully! Last November I ordered extra liquid soap because it was a great deal. Who new the pandemic was on it's way here? We washed our hands regularly before, but now we are all "super" washers. I love this dispenser. Not a scratch on it, puts up with two grown men pounding on it, and grandkids playing with it. Thanks for a great product!

I purchased this unit to replace an 'off the rack' unit I got from one of those chain home improvement stores a few months ago. The unit I previously purchased had stopped working because of a rusted spring in the actuator. When I removed it, I also found that the grommet used to keep it in place had also rusted, along with some areas around the bolt.
When I got the Kohler unit, I found that it had a lot of plastic parts. Now, in plumbing, you might think this is undesirable. However, in this case, it is perfect. All the parts that rusted so quickly in my old unit are now plastic, with the exception of the spring. The spring in this unit is smaller, and better protected from corrosion since it appears to not be inside any tubes which come into contact with the soap.
Time will tell if this unit will outlast its predecessor. One thing is for certain, the quality of the finish is far superior, and the quality of the build appears equally good. I feel very satisfied that I made the right purchase this time.
