Well, that didn't last long!

Well, that was short-lived. I got this a month ago, to replace the carafe for my BonJour Monet; so since it was the same brand, you'd think it would fit. It was loose, so I succeeded at making sure the carafe did not fall out of the holder whenever I was pouring or washing it, and had to position the plunger exactly right for it to go down. The original carafe with BonJour's Monet lasted for years, and I never had either of those problems with it. Of course, this replacement broke 2 days after Amazon's return window closed - in the process of simply plunging the coffee. I agree with a previous reviewer that this is way too thin and fragile, in addition to being poorly sized. A cheap replacement by the original maker.
Glass Too Fragile and Thin
Here Since 1998✓ Verified Purchase•October 24, 2017
Seeing the significant price difference between this and the other options, e.g., Bodum's, I bought this thinking I was getting a genuine bargain by buying something that simply wasn't name brand. Not until getting it and using it did I realize how thin and fragile the glass of this carafe is. We handled it gently, but it broke under normal use when it was lightly bumped by a dish in the dishwasher. If you purchase this, please beware that you really must treat this as fine china if you want to get any life out of it. My next purchase was the actual name brand glass carafe (I considered the plastic one but both its bad review and aesthetics led me not to purchase it), and I've been pleased with its service ever since. I've broken one of those too, but that was my own damn fault, not because the glass, like the one this is made of, is too thin and fragile and not robust enough to survive for long.
Almost perfect for Grosche Madrid press
Jess R.✓ Verified Purchase•December 21, 2016
I bought this as a replacement for a Grosche Madrid 3-Cup French Press carafe. The fit is really close, but slightly loose (just loose enough that the carafe would fall out if you turned it upside down). But I always hold the top while pouring anyway, so it's not a big deal.
The reason it's loose is that the carafe is just barely hourglass-shaped. You can't tell by looking at it, but it's 2.67" at the top (below the spout) and bottom, but around 2.64" in the middle, where the cage holds the carafe. The screen inside gets a little stuck at the narrow point, too.
But I'm still happy with it as a replacement.

Carafe Too Large for Original BonJour
Garret D Girmus✓ Verified Purchase•December 15, 2016
I have a BonJour 8-cup French Press and bought this replacement carafe thinking that it would fit. It doesn't, as it's a couple thousandths of an inch too large for my original BonJour frame. I'm not sure if the carafe is made to the wrong dimensions, but it starts to slide on and then can go on no further.
Fits Bodum Press like a Glove
Brian✓ Verified Purchase•December 7, 2015
I took the time to read all the reviews of this product, only to come up conflicted between those which say it's exactly compatible for a savings of $10 - and those that say it's worth it to spend the extra $10 for an OEM replacement. So I figured I'd take the risk, try it for myself, and share my own opinion. I am happy to say that this fits my Bodum press perfectly - exactly the right height & diameter to fit into the housing snugly, and the glass thickness is just right to allow the plunger to depress flush along the inside. I can't imagine what fault other people found with this product unless a) there was a bad batch or b) people don't know the measurements of their product. Make sure yours is a 12 demitasse oz (that's six regular fluid ounces) before purchasing. I'm sure I will be buying this again.
