Other reviewers must have over-tightened these, because I found them to be quite easy to install and very sturdy. Took me 15 minutes to install and adjust - I love them.

I was getting sore wrists from only having one hand position on long mountain bike rides. I do several bikepacking trips a year and was considering a change to a drop-bar setup which would have been great on gravel but cost a lot more and been scary on singletrack. Then I remembered bar ends. They were the thing to have back in the day, then they fell out of fashion with the big emphasis on trail shredding. Brush grabbers is what trendy people called them. Screw that. I'm glad Profile is still making these. They don't weigh much and their length and curve give you a couple more hand positions. They also protect your knuckles from passing trees without hanging up on them. Perfect solution.

I put these on my full suspension Mtb - no complaints at all. They are a great addition for hand placement and really help with tough technical climbs. I wrapped them with road bike cork handlebar tape, maybe not fashionable but certainly functional.

I'd been experiencing numb fingers due to being hunched over while riding my bike, and these are exactly what I needed. They were incredibly easy to attach to the handlebars. While they're comfortable enough for short rides, I'd recommend getting padded grips for extra comfort on those longer journeys.
Works for transport wheelchair

I know many people have questioned whether this works to extend the handles of a transport wheelchair. They do! I had an injury a few months ago and occasionally use the transport chair. My husband was not comfortable bending over and pushing the chair until we got these. They work great. They fit fine however you will need to remove the rubber grips from the original wheelchair handles before they'll slide over.
