This thing is massive! Well made, and looks very life like! We bought it for our little boy, who is afraid to sleep at night because of "monsters"....told him the Lion would stay awake all night and keep watch for him...worked perfectly. This thing is amazing!!!

Some of the previous reviews were mixed but I took my chances because Melissa & Doug is usually a great product, but the tiger arrived cross-eyed! It is not well-made, I can see giant white stitches of thread in odd places, the body is not very soft, and the "fur" on the head is so thin you can feel the styrofoam underneath. It was too late to return it and get a new one before Christmas and seeing as how she asked Santa specifically for a giant stuffed tiger I had to just go with it and hope for the best. So far my 6 yr old hasn't noticed anything wrong and stilled loved the tiger when she saw it, I am waiting for her to decide that it's ugly and it will just be taking up valuable space and a total waste of money. Who knows though, maybe it will remain a hit. Still, cross-eyed?!?!?!

This Tiger is awesome!! We love the realistic features, the plush feel, and the size!! We purchased it for our jungle themed nursery. I was worried that it would look cheap, but it looks amazing. I read a review talking about the hind legs looking odd compared to the front legs. This is not an issue at all. If you have ever seen a cat on it's hind legs it looks exactly like this. It does not look odd at all. From every angle it looks great!! It really does look real. We will be sitting on the rocking chair that faces the crib with the tiger next to it. It is just sitting there staring at you and you can't help but feel like it looks a little too real. The price is ridiculously low for what you get. I know any child would love this...heck I love it!

How lifelike! My cat's tail got huge when he saw me take this out of the box. Took him fifteen minutes or so to slowly creep toward it. Then he pounced on it and ran off. Laughed so hard! Really a nice, big stuffed animal. The nose is so real looking. They have really paid attention to details. Colors are just perfect. WOW. I think it is great, kids will love it. What an impression it makes. I do notice a little bit of size off scale here and there, but not worth lowering review. This is a stuffed toy, not a replica. I am glad I took a chance on this. Tag says it meets or exceeds all US standards. Means it is safe, and cuddly. This stuffed toy is huggable and can be layed on like a pillow. It pretty much just stays in the one position, but that just adds to the realistic look. I would call this a short plush, but there is long fur around the head.
Poor quality--Melissa & Doug need better quality control!!!!

Meh...we bought ours for our daughter for Christmas and I think we got one that was made in a hurry. The red color for the nose bled onto the surrounding white fur and the eye were not place in the body correctly so our poor tiger is cross-eyed!
I would have returned it but since the gift came from "Santa" I can't explain to my daughter why its suddenly missing and a why a new one comes in a box weeks later. At this point I'm beyond the return period so we're stuck with the funny looking Tiger :(
All in all, I expected better from Melissa & Doug and I certainly will not be ordering any more large-scale animals from them again. Please note we have a veritable zoo of large M&D animals in our house including the large Panda, large Giraffe, and large Pinguin (I'm forgetting a couple of others). Anyway there is another company, Aurora, that make large scale animals and we will be ordering those from now on.
