Good idea.. kit doesn't work without lots of changes on my Delta 10 contractor saw.
Wayne R. Willcox•March 24, 2008
The plans are really more of a suggestion of a possible way to build this.
I had to redesign so many parts of the plan that most of it was changed
Additionally most of the hardware might work on some table saws but
on my Delta 10" contractor saw I was able to only use the 2 24" t-track and 2
of the 4 knobs. I would not buy the kit again.
If you really want to build this extension (it is a good idea and I was able to
get it to work) just buy the plans and then modify them to work for your saw.
Most likely you will have to do a lot of modifications for your specific saw anyway. Save the 40.00 bucks for the kit and just get the plans. Build something similar on your own. Also why did they request a 1.5 inch table top for the outfeed that
isn't required? I just used shims on the supports and a 3/4 inch top.
Using 3/4 is much lighter and easier to deal with.
By using shims I can more precisely level the outfeed table and it is much
lighter when I want to move it.
I gave it 2 stars because the idea is good. The plan gives you a starting point
but the kit itself is not very helpful I have most of the parts left on the floor.
