I actually purchased this tape to use on a machete handle to improve the poor grip of the stock handle. I thought I was getting what goes on a skateboard. You know, with grit on it. This tape is not that at all. It's what you would put on a hockey stick or a baseball bat. That said, it really works great. It has a "sticky" feel to it. I have many other uses for it on other tools and what not. I would definately recommend this grip tape to anyone.

Got something you need to get a little better grip on? This stuff will do it. I have it on the handles of some yard and outdoor type tools an axe, machete etc. I also have some wrapped on my ps3 controllers and they feel much more comfortable and don't get sweaty or slippery during extended gaming sessions. Also put some on my pistol grip shotgun. Looks good in black, feels good adds grip and is pretty cheap too.
This tape was a very good alternative to buying a new bat.

I really like this tape. I actually bought it to grip a knife that I bought and it works absolutely great. My only complaint is that they don't give you much of it. I realize this isn't a valid complaint for something's functionality, but I'm petty and I would really have liked more.

Purchased to use on lacrosse shafts for grip as well as to mark points on the shaft for 'no-look' gripping in the middle and top of shaft for a beginning lacrosse player.
After putting on one layer, I rolled a stretch of the grip tape out and then spun the tape into a rope which i wrapped around the base of the shaft to create ridges for additional grip, then another layer on top.
I've since removed some after 4 months and it didn't leave any sticky residue on the metal shaft so no need for goo-gone or similar products.
We have the Camo version and the other kids on the team loved it and wanted their sticks wrapped too.
