Perfect solution for non-linear drains
Jim Wooten✓ Verified Purchase•March 14, 2018
Pro's: SUPER easy to work with
Cons: Thin enough to buckle if you're not a little careful while working with it.
I used two of these to move water around the house, from the high side of the road-base driveway, to the low side and out away from the house.
Since the driveway is higher than the yard, and the yard is sloped, it had a very large area for water to puddle. After digging my ditch, I put about three feet worth of larger, three to four-inch rocks, and then covered the end of the drain with about a foot more of the rock. I then covered the drain pipe and all the rocks, except for the first foot that a sloped down into the yard"”to act as a grate or French drain"”with road-base.
It has worked perfectly. Yes, there is a layer of dirt and small pebbles that is getting caught in the ridges of the hose. But, once the ridges filled and became almost smooth across the bottom, water flowed/s freely.
NOTE: This installation area is at the very end of the driveway where cars are parked, so it is not driven over or parked on. Since it buckles simply from working with it, I would NEVER try to bury it where it would be driven over, and I would certainly bury it deeper, or put large, 24" wide by 2" thick stepping stones over it where it could be walked over frequently.

Not 50ft Solid Pipe

This is two 25ft pipes that are shoved together and not as the description states one solid 50ft pipe. Unfortunately for me whoever crammed them together got them crooked and now they leak at this joint. I feel the discreption should state that they are just two 25ft sections crammed together since I could have saved myself some money by buying two 25ft sections and cramming them together myself. I guess the seller thinks they should get $4 for their effort.
Works, but pretty flimsy

Once installed it works fine. You get a lot of pipe for the $. Couple of things, though... I worry about the durability. It is not what I would describe as "robust" in any way. I bought several of these and one had a series of small holes in it, for no apparent reason, some kind of manufacturing defect I guess. Also, check your local big box home store as the price on this can sometimes be higher or lower (considerably) on Amazon.
Also, the end fittings can be kind of sketchy. I've found that some 4" fittings/connections work and some don't, and some work with the cut ends and some don't. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I'll tell you I'm not impressed by this "system", but if all you're doing is hooking up a few downspouts or something then it's really not a big deal.

Awesome, and SO long! That's what she said

Such a good deal. I ended up adding the adapter and coupler (got those at home depot, though, they were cheaper. I think I must've had other stuff boost the cost and gotten free shipping though, otherwise they wouldn't have been. Big mistake, anyway, HD takes like 2 weeks to get it to you.
Anyway, it's perfect. Watch the video.

Flex-Drain can be the answer to your drainage problems!
T. Walker✓ Verified Purchase•September 5, 2016
We had a drainage problem caused by the physical position of our house on a sloping lot that caused a lake to form at the front door. In one downpour, the "lake" extended all the way across the front of the house and across the front of the garage! We added gutters and had the downspouts positioned with alleviating the drainage problem in mind. After gutter installation, we attached the Flex-Drain adapter to a downspout and the Flex-Drain Flexible/Expandable 25" pipe, which we ran behind shrubbery to a French drain already in place at the front corner of the house. Voila! Problem solved!!! Now the "lake" is totally gone, and the water runs off as it should have originally. This is a GREAT product!
