Great For The Price, Cheapest Around!
Ian Mclean✓ Verified PurchaseJune 13, 2017
Works nice for one big sunroom (24x16') in my house on a day where it is in mid-80's with @50% humidity. Kind of wondering how many stars to give it? It costs about 1/4 the price of the Honeywell unit it replaced. Honeywell unit was way better, could cool 4 rooms. Evaporative cooling is not as effective, Honeywell has adjustability, this unit does not. Ice tray works well. Fan works great. When I get Honeywell unit back working this unit would likely work well in our big bedroom (16x16'), it is much more compact, so it is easier to place. Considering the price (Cheapest one on Amazon) have to give it 5 stars. Just do not expect to get more than you are paying for.

Does a good job of keeping me cool at night.
our living would get pretty warm when it was hot outside

This is exactly what I needed! With 2 large corner windows, our living would get pretty warm when it was hot outside. I just filled my cooler with cold water and ice, turned it on and it cooled it down in no time. I really like it. It's NOT like an air conditioner, it only cools small areas. But, no hoses and it uses half the energy as an air conditioner. And you can just move it from one area to another as needed. Great product, would recommend it to anyone.
Really Works -- Try Adding Icepacks

This actually works. The water filled state we will be testing within the next few days, as temps here will rise abnormally. There is a rectangular covered depression in the top of the unit for putting ice. Ice packs work as well without melting and can be rotated to keep the cool effect. With one unit upstairs and the other downstairs, we can keep the two bedroom condo cool. We live in a part of the country where high temps have not been a problem until recently.
Saved the shelter kitties from heat exhaustion :)

I bought this for the cat room at an animal shelter in Los Angeles that had no AC and where it got up to the mid-90's in a heatwave. It worked well but was too small for the approximately 6-700 square foot space (packed with 50+ hot little bodies) so I bought a 2nd one and that did the trick. It is not AC but it lowered the temperature enough to be tolerable to humans, and we no longer had to take cats out due to heat distress.

One of the 2 units had a blocked water level floater on receipt and wouldn't run. I called customer service; they immediately emailed instructions with pictures and I easily fixed it in about 30 seconds.

I would definitely buy this again if needed.
