Similar to another customer, I did not use the included hardware to make it into a bifold door. Instead, I installed them separately on their own set of hinges to make them a mini-french door. You will need the capability to install the hinges on the door to make them close properly though.

A great thing about these doors: they come with a thin film covering the glass. This makes the finishing work, such as painting or staining, very easy to do. To remove film, single edge razor does the trick. Score the film around the trim where the glass meets the trim and then just peel it off.

I purchased the 32 inch unfinished doors with the intention of separating them and using as a french door for our bathroom entry. They are very solid - not flimsy at all. If you purchase the unfinished doors, you will need to lightly go over the edges with a fine grain sandpaper, which I expected. This only took a few minutes, because you only need to do it very lightly. The faces of the wood were very smooth, but I would recommend going over the surface with a damp rag to raise the grain, then give it a once over with 220 grit sandpaper. If you omit this step, you will wind up with random raised grain lines that are unsightly.

The bi-fold hinges were mounted and the door panels came attached. The hardware came in a bag and the track was also included. Ours came bent, but I wasn't using it anyway. It also came with a wooden pull handle (which I did not use)

I would definitely recommend these to anyone considering using them for their intended use, or for converting into a french door for a small entry way. I included some pics of both the unfinished doors as well as after painting and mounting. I'm not sure why Amazon keeps changing the orientation of the pictures to turn them sideways.

Love, Love, Love this product. It was exactly what we were looking for a door between our sunroom and kitchen. Easy to install. We had to trim about 1/2" off width for a perfect fit in our 1850 farmhouse. Because it's a solid wood door that was no problem at all. Easy to paint since each glass pane was cling wrapped in plastic, no taping required.
I did add a flat profile finger pull ring to one side for ease of pulling closed from inside sunroom. Would highly recommend this product.

Solid doors of good quality. You may have to clean off a bit of wood fuzziness before painting.

If taking apart and making into french doors, beware that the backplate of standard door handles/knobs are too wide. The mounting surface width for the handle is just shy of 2". They are also just shy of. Normal door height because of the slide rail that is meant to be installed with then.

We bought this for a hallway we wanted to be able to close off with a door. There isn't room for a regular door, so this seemed like the best option.. This style door matches the french doors in our den, so I started checking on prices at the big box stores and other sites.. The price on Amazon is by far the best price I found, especially since we're Prime members and got free shipping.

I wasn't sure what to expect with shipping, because of the windows, I worried they might arrive broken. But it was very securely packaged and arrived just fine. The one I ordered is unfinished wood. It's 32" wide and 80" tall. We put it in a hallway that's 34" wide. With the frame my husband built (1" on each side), it fits perfectly. The door is very heavy weight, real wood and the panes of glass have a plastic film over them for ease in painting or staining the door... It glides beautifully and looks so pretty. Couldn't be happier with it..
