As a redhead, I've suffered from slightly a slightly redder skin tone than I'd like as well as the propensity to burn anytime I'm in the sun. Eucerin Redness relief has been a god send for me. It evens out my skin tone while also offering me daily SPF protection from the sun. Before finding this, I used to have to try to remember to wear sunscreen anytime I knew I was going to be outside, but disliking the way most facial sunscreens felt, greasy and oily, I wouldn't use them as often as I should. I ended up on many occasions spending more time outside than expected and getting my face burnt. Now I use the redness relief as part of my daily make up regiment and I',m automatically wearing sunscreen which I don't find to be oily or greasy. I wouldn't use this as your only sunscreen if you plan to be outside for a long period of time, but for those of use who can burn when only outside for a limited amount of time and don't want to remember to use a separate sunscreen, this works great as a daily sunscreen.
Very, Very Pleased!

I've never been officially diagnosed, but I'm 99.9% sure I have rosacea. Nothing seemed to help, and I was SO tired of having sunburnt-looking skin all the time. It was so embarrassing! Finally I came across this product, and figured I'd try it. Here's what I did:
First, I made my own lotion using some really thick, rich lotion base (it's used for making bath/beauty products and is as thick as shortening), and added an equal amount of water to it .... about 1/4 cup of each. I heated it slightly in the microwave so it would blend, and dissolved about a tablespoon of Epsom salts into it. After letting it cool, I gently washed my face with a wet, cool washcloth. Then I very generously slathered on the lotion (too much to be absorbed), and waited about 10 minutes. Once that was dry (you could see a thin layer of Epsom salts on the surface of my skin), I gently washed off the lotion, and re-applied a very small amount that could be easily absorbed.
That brings me to this product. I then applied small amounts of the redness cream to the red areas. Instead of rubbing it in, I patted it, which helped cover the redness very well. It doesn't take much at ALL. Even though it seems a little expensive, this bottle should last you for ages. It moisturizes, too, and my face doesn't feel like it's about to "crack" from dry, irritated skin anymore.
Once I've got the redness cream on, I then apply my makeup as normal.
I started this routine in May 2013, and two months later, nearly all the redness is GONE! Previously, if I exercised or drank just a tiny bit of an alcoholic beverage, my face would turn beet red within minutes. Almost nothing triggers it now, and even if it does, the redness is nowhere near as extreme as it was, and it disappears very quickly. I don't know if it was the Eucerin or the combination of Eucerin and Epsom salts, but one or both of them helped tremendously. (I'd used the cream base before, and although it was fine for a moisturizer, it alone didn't do anything to stop the redness.)
I will definitely buy this product again. Eucerin: please, please, please don't stop making it!

Pretty successful on mild to moderate rosceasa

I have super sensitive skin. I got rosceasa, psoriasis, dry flaky skin. One thing I don't suffer with much is acne. I used to use a different company that had a green tint cream to hide rosceasa but they discontinued that a line time ago. It was helpful as long as you don't over do it. I find the same is true here. Look, if you are having a flare that makes you a bright red tomato, don't expect a cream to make you porcelain white in 5 mins. That's not going to happen. I see some people complaining about they look green after applying. How much are you putting on? I find a over sized pea is more then enough to do my face and blend into my neck. I pump it onto the back of my hand , drab Little spots all over , then smear in circles with my finger tips and it's fine. If you are trying to use a quarter size that's probably way too much and making you look green. I find it absorbs after 5 mins. Has a velvet finish when I touch. I haven't tried with makeup over but I don't think that would be n issue as it's not a serum and it's not just sitting like dew on my face. And trust me, I have freckles and very uneven skin tones. Not those really cute defined freckles but they look like random splotches on my face. I still don't look green. I don't look super glossy or pet porcelain after. Have reasonable expectations with a product. It helps my redder spots look more like pink. That's reasonable for a product that isn't meant to fix pigments. Basically it should help your cheeks not look like your related to Santa Claus, but you aren't going to magically be a skincare glowing goddess either. If you want to truly fix your pigmentation, you need a laser, ipl, or a chemical peel every month to turn new skin over . I feel some of the negative reviews here are either using too much product, or have unrealistic expectations. I do wish this had a better spf. That's where this formula falls short.
No need for $250 Mirvaso

I'm a fair-skinned male, age 66 (I can't believe it), troubled by steadily worsening rosacea for about 10 years. My dermatologist recently prescribed Mirvaso, a new prescription cream which relieves redness (sort of) by shrinking blood vessels temporarily. I went into shock when my pharmacy said it was going to cost me $250 for a small tube. That's when I tried this Eucerin Daily Perfecting Lotion. This stuff works! It's basically a coverup and moisturizer, goes on easily and quickly and blends well for a natural looking, normal-colored skin. No need to spend the $250 for Mirvaso or any other prescription now!
FYI, I have been using the companion product, Eucerin Soothing Cleanser, for about 7 weeks and would highly recommend it for redness relief. I use it in my morning showered and at bedtime, and find my skin has improved quite dramatically. In my case I have very sensitive facial skin, especially on my forehead, and finally realized I must be allergic to ingredients in many lotions, creams and sunscreens - even had a severe reaction to Metrogel when I tried it for a couple days. It was almost like my skin was in a perpetual state of being burned or irritated by products and then healing over a couple weeks. You can imagine how happy I was to find the Eucerin Soothing Cleanser - at last I could feel like my skin being cleaned without burning or irritation! Within 5 days my skin was noticeably smoother, much less red, more even-toned and not totally dry as before.
I know everyone' skin situation is different, so these products may or may not work for you, but they have been great for me. Good luck to all rosacea sufferers!

Love that it has sunscreen in it!

As I have been aging, I've noticed my skin getting redder with more tiny whiteheads. It's is also dry, so I suspect that I have mild rosacea. I have to use calming cleansers (just finished a bottle), and moisturizers with retinol make it worse. So, I decided to go with a new skincare routine to focus on reducing the redness.
I love that this has sunscreen in it for daily use. (For longer sun exposure days, I have sunscreen with zinc.)
The green tint does help reduce the appearance of redness. I make sure to use a magnifying mirror when applying to make sure that it's rubbed in, so I don't have green left on my face.
