50 filters will last me a long time! I am able to rinse a filter out a couple times before needing a new one. I primarily use them for polyurethane and white paint. Seems like i get more uses out of the ones with poly only. They do slow down the flow after a couple and that gets annoying. I wash them out by filling the cup up with water and then flushing the screen from both directions. If you don't want to waste time and waste money just toss them when you're done. For around 15 cents a piece they aren't that much. I haven't had any filters tear or the screens tear out. Quality is great.
Filters are a must when spraying. You don't realize how much stuff you can filter out with these things. I spray both outside and inside and notice a lot left in the filter both places. I keep everything covered pretty well too. Better safe than sorry!

Reusable to an extent.

I was able to carefully rinse one filter out a couple times before needing a new one, if you're that type of person. Otherwise you can use the filter once and toss. It is amazing all the garbage that is in paint and how easy a handheld sprayer will clog without first filtering the paint. These help with that problem.
Great product and value; Did the job; No Complaints

These are great. Unless you do a ton of painting, this set of 50 will last quite a while. I was very surprised at how much this thing filtered out of the paint that was fresh bought from the store and unused. The holes on the sides made it very easy to suspend over the paint can i was using for my filtered pain. The reason I bought these (which Im sure is the reason most people buy them) is so that I could filter the latex pain before placing it into my HVLP gun (Fuji SemiPro2). Worked like a charm. Great product.
Too fine for latex

Tried it with Sherwin-Williams Harmony latex paint. Only allowed a drop about every ten seconds. Would have taken all day to filter a gallon. Probably works well with thinner paints or stains. Will try a larger size.
Not Very Good for Solvent Based Finishes!

Would not recommend these strainers for any type of solvent based finish as the adhesive securing the mesh failed miserably during the first use.Unable to return them as I was traveling and got home after the return window had closed. Never had a paint strainer fail in over 30 years until these. They might be ok for enamel based paints and mineral spirits, but definitely not for any of the lacquer or catalyzed urethane finishes. I'm going to double them up and see if it might help since I'm stuck with them.
Update 7/12/2017: Had a few more fail like the first ones I tried. I doubled up 2 filters and was able to get through two gallons of pre-catalyzed lacquer before I discarded them. At least they're not a total loss. Not sure if others are having a better experience than what I'm having, but I will not order this brand again.
