Pretty wet... Takes forever to dry
CStubingFebruary 16, 2018
Giving this 3 stars. I haven't done that much drywall work, so take my opinion with a grain of gypsum.

I have used another joint compound before, long ago, and it wasn't as wet and sloppy as this stuff. It also didn't take a good 24 hours to dry as this stuff did. Finally, in areas where I laid it on a little thick (not ridiculously thick, i.e. wrong), this stuff actually cracks when it dries like a dry riverbed.

I'm going to try a different brand next time I need to fix some drywall. Replies are welcome if anyone has a better brand to suggest, or maybe if you just want to tell me that this product is as good as it gets!
My Go To For Mudding/Sheetrock projects
Matthew BrennanNovember 12, 2017
It a wave of products that I am unsure of, I can always trust Sheetrock JC (joint compound). I have purchasing this for years and always stick to the green container for my needs. This latest project did not require mudding, but filling in gaps along the top of drywall edge in a basement approx 1/8'' to 3/4'' at the largest. 1/4'' and under fill easily with no tape and did not crack after 2 weeks (I let them set for this time to see if they would hold). From past experience anything over 1/4'' should have tape to hold as this product is not meant to be a gap filler and can crack over time. Surprisingly some of the areas I filled at the 1/2'' and 3/4'' range did not crack and a few had minor cracks. I sanded and went back with tape to give a better appearance before finishing for painting.
Great in the art studio

Using in art as a base for mixed media work and as a base for encaustic work - great size since I do not need a lot, and much more affordable for experimentation than Venetian plaster.
Great Spread and adhesion to walls
BennieDecember 17, 2016
I am about to install Back Splash tile on my kitchen walls but first the walls needed to be cleaned of the old adhesive. I then ordered this stuff. I was surprised the lid of this stuff did not have some safety feature to prevent the lid from coming loose. Nevertheless, the cement was of the right consistency. It spreads quite well, and you can work with it for a few minutes while on the wall, so there's no big rush, but just keep time in mind before it drys. I have not noticed any lumps in this stuff. The color is of a grey, but when it drys, it drys to a white color, and it is very smooth. Once I ensure my walls are level after some light sanding I will apply the tile to a surface that hopefully will ensure good adhesion. I have bought this stuff twice, to show how much I do like it.
Easy to apply
SDinsOctober 17, 2016
Easy to apply, and stays wet long after opening. I've applied this to many applications I had around the house, and I'm still using it months after purchase. It's also easy to sand once it is dry. I apply once and wait a day before sanding. If I need another application after sanding, then I reapply it until I get it right. Some of my holes were fairly large, and I probably should have cut them out and replaced with a drywall patch, but I find several applications of this works just as well. Painting over this is just as easy, once the sanding is done.
