Good idea but needs some quality control
Babs•September 23, 2017
While the idea is good and the construction of the item is satisfactory, the holes did not line up properly making it very difficult to assemble with the screws provided. Also I found it very hard to squeeze the two parts of the screw together.
Super helpful to get on compression stockings
Misti in Seattle•April 5, 2017
Great tool for getting on compression stockings following surgery. Only drawbacks are that even though I have slim legs the part that slides over the leg will go only midway up my calf before it becomes too small. I have to finish by grabbing the stocking with a hook. Also, the handles are so short that I had to tie rubber strips on to lengthen. But so the adaptations this thing WORKS, and these stockings are very difficult to get on? I am glad I purchased this.
Don't Recommend
Bill Blackburn, Ukiah CA•October 28, 2016
I bought this for use both at home & traveling. I planned to dissemble it to carry in my luggage. Unfortunately, the "chicago" or "binder" type screws used to hold it together are plastic & easily cross-threaded. Most of the binder screws broke during disassembly. So I couldn't reassemble it until I purchased some aluminum binder screws at a hardware store. -- It did not hold the pressure sock after I first inserted my foot. The sock just slipped off, the nobs near the bottom did little to delay this. I give it two stars instead of one because it kinda worked a little & I was able to disassemble it for travel using the aluminum screws.
Therapist approved

I am a therapist who bought this for a weak patient with severe edema who could not get his support hose on independently. He was paying someone $15 for an hour's aid work to only put on his compression socks/hose. He had a little trouble getting the compression sock on the aide, but once he mastered that, he was able to independently don them himself. Nice product. Doesn't collapse closed like many aides I've worked with due to the tension of the hose.
Occupational Therapist review
Amazon Customer•October 8, 2015
As an occupational therapist I was disappointed by the difficulty of assembling this product. Its a simple design, slide two sides into base and lock in place with plastic 'screws'. My first issue is the plastic screws need to be pinched together to lock into place. I do not have arthritis, but a majority of my patients who would need this product do have arthritis. I had to have someone with plyers get the plastic screws to pinch to lock into place. My second issue is I wish the handles were slightly longer. The product does its job, but if your calf is swollen over 18" it will be difficult to use. I would recommend for someone who has assist to assemble and has a calf under 17" and can reach halfway down their shin and keep their balance.
