... me the ability to use my 50mm lens for excellent macro photos

This is a high quality lense for close-up work that gives me the ability to use my 50mm lens for excellent macro photos.
Superior image quality

Superior image quality. Keep this No. 5 at ~20cm /0.7ft distance, Find your focus (autofocus) and shoot. Great, great pictures! You will not reget this purchase. I screw it all the time time on my Panasonic FZ200 and keep it in my pocket, because there is everywhere a good opportunity waiting for a macro.
This close-up lens is perfect! It takes wonderful macro photos

Bought this to use on my Nikon D5200. I use a zoom lens, and didn't want to have to remove the lens every time to take a macro shot and run the risk of getting dust and dirt in my camera. This close-up lens is perfect! It takes wonderful macro photos, without the distortion that you typically get with the cheaper, single element close-up filters. It screws on the front of the lens so quickly and easily, and is quite heavy and very well constructed. Very pleased with the photos I have taken with it so far, and can't wait to experiment with it more.
A good alternative to simple close-up lenses.

Although it is significantly more expensive than simple close-up lenses, this achromatic lens involves less of a compromise of image quality. For working in the field, where you might be reluctant to use extension tubes for fear of getting dirt into the camera, this lens is ideal. As a bonus, it arrived much sooner than the estimated time.
Significantly better than single element attachments.

Extremely sharp, high quality close-up attachment lens. Mine is a No. 5, 49mm Got it on sale & saved enough to buy step-up adapters & 49mm lens caps for a variety of M4/3 lenses. I had been using Nikon single-element close-up attachment lenses but discovered that images taken without the attachment & enlarged to the same magnification were sharper than those using the Nikon add-on. Not the case with this one. I have used it on my primes (17, 25, 45) 14-42 kit and the small 35-100 f4-5.6 Panasonic zoom and found it to be exceedingly sharp on all. There are 2 unavoidable downsides to this lens: 1: It is not light & you will notice the added weight when attached and 2: depth-of-field is severely limited. It is virtually impossible to have the entire frame in focus on any subject (out-of-focus, not distorted). Models with less magnification offer greater DoF so there is a trade-off to be considered when selecting which to buy I have used mine on every lens I could attach it to & found it to be most versatile on zooms (& best at small apertures). While it cannot compete with a dedicated macro lens it offers a lot of fun for a small investment and the images it produces are far, far better than those offered by single element attachments.
