Takes care of mud, sand & animal poop every time. It fits even the big guys boots. Can leave outside always because nothing deteriorates..
So easy to hop on & off and does a good job.

Get's the cut grass and dog poop off the shoes just fine. It's very light-weight so you'll need a place to rest it up against like the edge of the steps.
Works for me.

Good little unit for the money....should have bought two. Local hardware store sells equivalent for about $5 more.
Pretty good but not really good enough

If there were a half star I'd give 3.5, but I just can't go to 4 stars. Yes, the astroturf stuff on these scrapers does a great job of getting chicken crap out from vibram soles; Yes, the stuff wraps all the way around the top so you can get a really good scrape... but... But the frame is really lightweight and flexes too much. So when you are scraping your shoe on the large flat part, it flexes away from you and this undermines the scraping action. Also, the whole assembly is too lightweight and doesn't want to stay put on the ground. Even standing on one side while scraping on the other isn't simple, in part because it flexes too much.
Nice idea, pretty good price, but the execution could be better. I might just have to break down and make my own.

It does a good job getting the bulkier bits of mud and dirt ...

The only reason it's getting 4 stars is: there's no way to attach it to the ground. I suppose if you stand in one side, then wipe your boot in the other, you have solved that problem, but on a windy day it gets blown clear to the other side of the yard, because the unit isn't very heavy.
It does a good job getting the bulkier bits of mud and dirt off your shoes, but you'll have to wipe off any smaller bits of grit/sand with a towel.
You can also hose this thing off and it cleans up like a champ.
