This is a fabulous gift! My nieces used to use this toy all of the time and they each had one. I recently gifted the ladybug to my cousin who was turning 1. The small lady bug was a good size for her to hold onto and I think she will be able to use it until she is 2. I think that a two-year-old might be able to use the same sized ladybug if they are on the shorter side. I highly recommend this gift and have now seen three children LOVE IT! The seat was comfortable to touch. It appears that it would be easily wiped off. This lady bug came wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped nicely.

I thrifted a ladybug wheely four years ago for something like $8 for my then 2-year-old thinking it might be a whimsical, engaging toy. It ended up being in her top 5 most-played-with toys of all time. She used it for hours every week to the point that we ordered a new wheel after two years. The workmanship was stellar; the toy beautiful to look at; and, oh, the ways to play. I was so excited to see the larger one available for my now very long-legged 6-year-old. I just purchased the large and small (for our new addition to the family) and know they will be worth every cent. Oh, and every kid friend who comes over immediately gravitates to this toy. For reference my kids are 50 pounds/48" and 27 pounds/30".

As with others, I debated on what size to get. I really would prefer to get something they will grow into more than something they will quickly out grow, so I bought the large. I bought the lady bug and the bumblebee for 14 month old boy/girl twins. The boy is taller than the girl, so his feet almost reach the floor, but he hasn't figured out how to make it go when he is riding on it. They both enjoy sitting on them, but they have the most fun pushing them around. Bumper cars, anyone? The girl had fun recently putting a stuffed animal on one and then pushing it around. It will be interesting to see what they use them for in the coming months, as well as watching them learn to make them go while riding on them. These are so cute.

ETA: My biggest concern when purchasing this was which size to buy. I went with the larger and am glad I did. As mentioned above, at 14 months, their feet didn't reach the floor enough for them to propel themselves, but they still enjoyed them. They are now 18 months and both are beginning to make them go for short distances. Their 3 1/2 year old cousin was on them recently and he didn't look too big for them. They are holding up well. The only problem with them is when the twins use them as a step stool, but that isn't a flaw in the product!

My BIG 3yr old loves it. At first fell off and could not handle it great. Left it in the side for a bit. When he started ridding it again now won't stop! Rides all over the house. Does not scratch up floors. Made with real materials nice wood not plastic. Great product, so happy I got it!

I bought 3 of these for my children for Christmas gifts (different characters/animals-ladybug, pig & bumblebee). My children are 2, 4 & 7. All 3 of my children are very tall and my oldest is the height of your average 11-12 year old. It make it VERY difficult to buy her toys that she can ride on due to her height and weight (she's as tall as a 12 year old so she weights as much as a 12 year old). She's still young enough to where she still wants to play with her younger siblings so, she still wants to do and play with what a 5 year old would want to play with. That being said, these are AMAZING!!!! Let me say that again, AAAAAAAAAAAAMAZING! I always feel bad when my 7 year old is too big for a lot of ride-on toys that state they are for her age but not for her height or weight. She can fit on these and chase around her siblings on this Wheely Bug just like her 2 younger siblings can. Yes, her legs are long for this toy but she can still ride on this without the worry of breaking it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this toy for your child if you are looking for something that will last for years to come. I got the idea to buy these for my 3 children because for Thanksgiving, we went over to my friends house and she had pulled out her 2 Wheely bugs for all of the kids to play with while the adults were still finishing dinner. I was amazed that my 7 year old was able to ride it & my 2 year old loved it as well. I asked her where she bought her 2 Wheely Bugs, she told me she bought them from a children's boutique when her 2 children were 2 & 3 years old. Her children are now 11 & 12 years old! She also told me that her children used these ALL THE TIME & they LOVED them. She let them use them inside and out but she never left these outside in the backyard. Her Wheely bugs looked brand new so I was amazed when she told me how old her Wheely Bugs were. If you have a young child and you want something to last (as long as they are willing to still play with it) then absolutely buy this toy. I just bummed I didn't buy these sooner when my oldest was 2 or 3. Oh, and I would also recommend to buy the large Wheely bug so it can grow with your child. I would only recommend the small one if your child is very petite (small) and not going to be a very tall child. Is it expensive, YES! Is it well worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!! Hope your children enjoy this toy as much as my children do.
