Great Concept, fairly easy to install

I wish they made this out of material that was just a little more rugged. One of my "snaps" (that holds the 2 pieces together) keeps popping out, but there are plenty more that hold it together adequately. I may use pop-rivets or small screws to keep the two pieces connected in a more solid fashion.
Overall, I'm very happy with the pet door. It's an innovative design that allowed a quick and easy way to insert a pet door right into our sliding screen door. Before installing this, the cat kept clawing at the screen (and the spline holding the screen) in an attempt to make his own "secret passage" thru our screen door. Now both the cat & dog use this -- it only took a few hours for them to figure out how to work it.
I like that it was easy to install, and provided a quick solution to our problem. I didn't need to install a solid panel or cut a hole in the wall to install a pet door. It's surprisingly lightweight, and opens/closes easily without risking the rest of the screening material.

Right off the top - The directions SUCK! There are 4 large pieces that they have labeled A & B. That's it. I think it would have been more helpful to number them 1 thru 4. But let me tell you what I learned:
1. Lay the large frame with the fitted smaller frame inside of it on the floor or flat surface and lay the screen on top of it. Now you are looking at half of the door through the screen.
2. Take a box cutter, razor blade or sharp knife and cut out a small opening around the inner hinges. You'll see two holes in the hinges - cut the shape of the hinge out by running your knife around the outside of the hinge's seam where it fits into the larger frame.
3. Now lay the matching opposite two pieces ontop of the screen over it's counterpart under the screen.
4. Look for the large circles on the top layer, those indicate where the holes are the fit into the pegs. If you're on the floor you can use Hand and body pressure to press on those points until you hear a "Snap". Otherwise the directions suggest a Mallet. You'll feel it snap tight and be sure to do the outer and inner door.
5. Once snapped you take a knife and cut into the little gap between the inner and outer doors. Take your time and test the door gently, it will let you know where you missed a spot.
Hope that helps! I posted a pic up top!

Pros and Cons

I paid full price for this and chose it after researching dozens of similar products. I've had it installed for about a month. This won't work for everyone, but it's perfect for a screened-in porch, and I love it.
Pros and Cons:
Yes, this is very thin and flimsy. Also, the seal isn't perfect, and the door doesn't always close tightly. But because the door hangs loosely, it is also very easy for our dogs to push it open and closed, and they were trained in a day or two. I may add a strong magnet for a tighter seal now that they're used to it. The unusual shape actually makes sense: it fits the shape of a dogs' body, and the odd angle helps the door close by itself.
Size: We have a 16lb dachshund/beagle mix and a 30lb lab mix. Both go in and out with no problem. The door is light enough for our small dog to push, and our larger dog fits easily. I think it could even fit slightly larger dogs.
Installation: The directions say to cut your screen, then save the cut-out piece to snap into the door. Fortunately I had a roll of screening, so that wasn't necessary and I didn't need to remove the door to install. But we use tightly-woven pet screening, so the door didn't just "snap-in" either. I had to use a screwdriver to manipulate the screen holes carefully around each peg.
Overall, I would buy this again. We open the door from our house to the porch to let in the breeze, and now we can keep the porch screen door closed while the dogs have free access to the yard. Despite some gaps in the seals, I would say that we get almost no bugs with this, definitely less than before, because it stops all the flying bugs and we aren't always opening and closing the door.

Great Cat Door

This is a great cat (screen) door that I would buy again. Delivery and price were good. However, installation is not without some problems. Both sides of the frame snap together, but it was not as easy as it seems - my nylon screen (which I installed new for the door) was what I believe is standard thickness. But in order for both sides of the door to snap together (the pegs have to pierce the screen material), I had to us an Exacto knife to "cut" the screen material at each point where the pegs go through, else the pegs would not ... or some would not stay in place (pop out). Then I had to actually gorilla glue (and clamp) one corner which would not stay closed. The door itself had similar issues and took a couple days of re-clamping with long nose pliers to get the pegs to stay in the opposite side of the frame. All that said, I really like the door now that it is done. My cats couldn't decide at first whether to grab and "pull" the door open, or push through with their heads ... so I helped them(by pushing them through) a few times. Now they seem to make a game of it. Until I got the door clamped together properly (and the hinges snapped together) the cats started flying through the door so fast that it would "come off" to their surprise. But we are OK now.

Easy install. Eliminates cutting holes in walls or doors. Inexpensive. Lasts years replaced with screen after 8 years but could have kept in use if wasn't relaxing screen. 2nd time purchased and I I'll purchase at my next house to install as well. Don't want your pet going in and out then just close the sliding door or window.
