Well I am not a professional but heres my take. I had a Forfex Babyliss pro for many yrs and loved it, but recently it was damaged on a flight and had to be replaced. I tried Wahl Elite pro which came DOA so I hesitated on getting another and returned it. Then tried a Wahl Lithium ion cordless...it felt like a cheap economical clipper, hated it after 45 seconds, returned it, then got the Andis Outliner II....loved it, shocked at how much closer I was able to shave my heard right out of the box, all I did was oil the blade. So bottom line Andis is my new clipper

Replaced my andis outliner with the outliner II... big mistake. Never had a problem in all the years that I used my original and I've given this one a couple tries but I can't run this outliner II through my beard without it pulling hair left and right. Oiled before, during and after use. Called andis support number, and I'd have to pay (even with the year warranty) to send my brand new $60 trimmer out to them to be "looked at by a technician". Can't just swap me out a replacement trimmer, let alone send me a replacement blade to try? Probably not worth the shipping cost and my time to send it out and wait. So looks like I'll eat the $60 and order the original t blade again. What a disappointment with Andis customer service.

Perfect for shaving and cutting hair, it will get hot after 10 mins of continuous use. Must oil after every use or it gets hotter!

Bottom line up front: if you suffer from razor bumps and ingrown hairs this is the product for you. My job requires me to shave daily and for years I've been the subject of annoying razor bumps and ugly in grown hairs (as is typical of black men because of the nature of our hair). I was recommended these clippers by a friend and after reading some reviews and being tired of having my face be ground zero for ingrown hairs I gave these a shot and boy am I happy I did! I gave myself a week to grow out my beard and then started using these to dry shave every day. My face is 100% clear of razor bumps and ingrown hairs and I couldn't be happier. I'll admit nothing beats a razor to the face when it comes to a close shave but these clippers get pretty darn close so that you can't even tell the difference. My only wish was that these were cordless and rechargeable. Nonetheless, I highly recommend these to anyone who suffers from and is fed up with razor bumps and ingrown hairs.
