Not good for Power Chewers

I'm an idiot and bought this for my three year old destroyer of toys not realizing it was for Senior dogs. Needless to say she destroyed it within ten minutes.
They love the regular Kong

My Italian Greyhounds are 12+14 years old. They love the regular Kong, the red one, so I thought the Senior would be a nice change for their older mouths. The Senior Kong is made out of a material that stinks. The dogs hate it, won't even touch it with peanut butter inside. I've tried soaking the Senior Kong in homemade beef broth for several days. All that did was make the broth smell bad. I can tell what room the Senior Kong is in because I can smell it when I walk into the room. Never buy this.
Softer Than The Red Kong

This Kong is a bit softer than the Red one. I purchased it for a young standard poodle puppy. she loves to pick it up & drop it, then chase it. She also chews on it some. When she's adopted, I'll send it with her, I am trying to keep her on dry food. My pack like these when the weather is warm. I put either treats in them or water & freeze or put wet Fromms dog food in them & freeze them. It arrived quick and well packaged.
... actually bought this one by accident but I am GLAD I did

I actually bought this one by accident but I am GLAD I did! This KONG for seniors has roughly the same feel to it that the puppy KONG has, its just normal size! I bought this one, again, by mistake since I just noticed the color was purple (Not a huge fan of pink and blue), not the "Senior" part... I ended up going in a store as soon as I noticed my mistake to pick up a puppy specific one for "Large Breed" and my puppy that I got was almost able to fit the one for large puppies in her mouth by the time she was 3 months old! So with the puppy one, I had only been able to get about a months use out of it before I switched over to this one since her teeth were still puppy teeth and the toys meant for the adult dogs tend to be tougher... She adores this one and it is her favorite toy! I am so glad I accidentally got it because if I didn't, I would have had to take another trip to the store just to get one anyway.
Your dog will thank you!

I have an 8 year old golden retriever mix, who normally doesn't like rubber toys, but on the advice of a friend, I purchased this as an option to keep her busy while I'm away at work during the day and to help her with anxiety during thunderstorms.
Needless to say, I'm glad I made the decision to purchase a Kong, because I've honestly never seen my dog have as much fun playing with one of her toys as she does when she plays with this. All I have to do is toss a treat or two in the center, seal it with a little bit of peanut butter (sometimes I'll put it in the freezer for a bit too), then I give it to her and she will go to work on trying to get the treat out of the middle.
This has been a godsend during thunderstorms, as my dog used to suffer from major anxiety and always retreated to the bathroom whenever a storm came, but now all I have to do is give her the Kong and she'll sit in the floor in the same room that I'm in and play with that even during a storm! For that fact alone, this toy has been worth every penny.
