The bag was shipped in its original package instead of a shipping bag or box. I'm all for saving the environment, but the shipping label was on the front of the bag. The shipping label covered the brewing instructions and could not be removed without pealing the instructions off of the paper coated package.

Tired of coffee so trying something different. Full bodied, not bitter. I feel like I've had gunpowder tea with stronger flavor, still good though. Very mild pleasant aroma. 1.5 tsp 2 min 30s with 180 degree water. It is a large 16 oz bag, will probably last a year or more.

I am a green tea snob and usually order it direct from Japan. Recently, my husband started drinking all my green tea and it was costing me too much so I found this giant bag for such a good price. It's decent, not the best, but not the worst. It is not bitter at all but actually doesn't have much flavor, it might be a little old. The fact that it's organic too is a huge plus. I wish some of the rice was popped to get that "popcorn" flavor that some of the genmaicha's have.
