Just like mama's marinara

Love this marinara. When I don't want to make a homemade sauce I use this. And because of this sauce not making homemade is now more often than not.
Highly recommended for Italian perfectionists.

I've been making my own sauce using D.O.P tomatoes for a while now, and while it's awesome, it's tough to keep up with it. So I started looking for a jarred alternative and found this product. I read all of the reviews and was really hopeful.
I'd say this sauce is okay. The flavor is mild. Compared to the sauce I make from canned D.O.P. tomatoes, the flavor is lacking. Also, my jar had some skins in it.
I was just at the grocery store looking at other options and found Monte Bene on the bottom shelf. It was on sale for $4.29.
My girlfriend and I just did a taste comparison and the Monte Bene beats out this sauce for sure. Overall there's just more tomato flavor in the sauce. And, it's also about 1/3 the price.
