The pickled okra is fantastic; we usually finish off a jar a week. But the pricing of this product on Amazon is ridiculous. The same 16oz jar is just $3.34 at a nearby Walmart!!!

This stuff is like liquid gold at my house. My mother's family is from Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas, and I grew up eating okra the way my hinterland brethren chow down zucchini. Luckily, I live near an asian grocer who keeps fresh okra in stock nearly year round, but I do not can anymore.
Enter Talk O Texas - jarred okra pickles that are readily available down where my mother comes from (and even in the hinterland) but not up in Massachusetts where I live now. The hot ones make delicious garnishes for a Bloody Mary (or a Bloody Shame - which is what I drink). They're also good in salads or right out of the jar.
