Large gap at back strap

I have used Hogue grips on many of my guns and been very happy, but this is a different story. Bought this grip for my Taurus M 44 mag. The grip did technically "fit" however, there is a LARGE gap below the backstrap. This looks horrible, and would allow dirt/grime to get in.You can actually see this is the intended fitment when looking at the pictures on Hogues web site. This was unacceptable in my opinion. It looks like i tried to retrofit something I had lying around. Unfortunately, there are not many options for aftermarket grips on this gun so I may be forced to try one of Hogues higher end wooden grips. The Grip did fit as intended so I will give it 2 stars, but the terrible design is unacceptable. If you pay any attention to detail you will not be happy with this grip.
Does not fit the Judge Public Defender Poly 2.5"

The grip is very nice and well made, but I was mislead and believed a post which it said it fit on a Judge Public Defender Poly. I own a 2.5" Poly and I assure you this does not fit the gun. The metal handle under the grip on this gun is very short. Since the back of the grip is cut out and shows the back of the spine of the guns handle, there is a large open area that doesn't get filled by the gun. A normal 3" all metal Judge "might" work but the Poly does not fit with this grip. Don't be mislead like I was. Other wise this grip is nice for any other gun that it does fit on. I give it 5 stars because there is nothing wrong with the grip, just my error in not doing more research before buying.
Fits great and relatively easy to install

Replaced an old 1980's model 66 Taurus grips with these, looks like a new gun now and a much more comfortable shooting grip now. Only problem installing was removing the old roll pins from the frame, but a hammer and nail punch took care of it quickly.

Fits my Taurus M44 (.44 Magnum) revolver perfectly, and gives me a much more positive, hand-fitting grasp than the original grips. I have this style of grip on several heavy-recoiling revolvers, and recommend them for anyone with larger hands.
