The TS 808 is a classic pedal that is a must have on your pedal board. Works best with Fender type single coil pickups through a Fender type (mid scooped) amp because it seems to add a mid hump making for a full rich sound (iMHO). I have one in my collection and I bought this one for my son who plays a Fender Telecaster through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Amo.. If you play through a Vox voiced amp (mid hump) or a Marshall Amp you may want to consider an OCD or a Timmy pedal as they don't have that classic mid hump that a TS 808 has that can add to the natural mid hump of the amp. But for a Tele or a Strat through almost any fender amp .... It's tone heaven.
The one I received won't operate on battery power for sound or LED light so I cannot enjoy it's portability

This product arrived defective. It's supposed to be the Holy Grail of guitar pedals. It's designed to operate on 9v battery power as well as on AC power. The one I received won't operate on battery power for sound or LED light so I cannot enjoy it's portability. I can only operate it on AC power. A request for a prompt replacement has been requested from the Amazon supplier Harbor Online Shop in Japan.
