We had this replacement carafe for a few years and recently the glued on handle came off causing the glass portion to fall and break. My wife was mildly scalded by the hot coffee and we had coffee and glass all over our counter tops, floor, and into cabinet drawers. The glued on handle is a significant weak point for this product.

Perfect replacement for Technivorm MoccaMaster carafe that had broken (second or third carafe I've broken!) The OEM carafe is very expensive, but this Medelco unit fits perfectly in the heater base and is correct height for the brewer. It appears to be a universal replacement for other vendors too. Now if I could stop breaking carafes...!
