I've purchased five of these crates in the past four years while raising two dogs from puppies. We buy a new one each time our dog outgrows the old one. We are up to the largest size so hopefully our big boys are done growing!

I think my only complaint is when you get into the larger sizes, the crate becomes pretty heavy and difficult to move around, even when folded. But that is really a side effect of owning large dogs.

Our dogs love the crates. We leave the door open and they go into them during the day on their own. Since our dogs don't fight the crate it's hard to rate the "chew proof" factor, but I assume it should be more than enough just based on how it feels. The crate door double locks so you should feel secure knowing your pup isn't going to escape.

If I were to change one thing, I'd make the bars a little closer together. We like the idea of buying the crate covers which fit over top of these, but when we tried it in the past, our puppy was able to get ahold of the fabric and pull it into the crate and chew on it. We don't feel safe leaving the crate covers on. But the dogs seem to enjoy the crates without cover so it's not a big deal.

We've never had to "pen up" our dogs in the past but this one is "different". We got him from a family where
the owner had flown out of state, could not take him and while she (owner) was gone, she had a stroke and
died, so of course could not come home to her "little guy". She died in Dec., we picked him up in Jan. He was suffering from "abandenment", hid from us but did take to me and followed me like a "fly on flypaper".
I could go on but the whole thing is we cannot trust to leave him home alone when we go out in this too hot
weather so don't take him with us --- much to his "dislike", he's not happy in the "cage" but safe!

I don't know how some people can spend double in this same thing! I love this and its perfect! I have a 90 lbs german shepard and I was worried about getting a cage big enough for her for a decent price and i tell you, this cage exceeded my expectations. I got the 42in one entrance with divider ( cause it was cheaper) and this things felt like double the price. It was very sturdy and heavy duty but not super heavy in weight, just big. My dog fits in in with still some wiggle room. If your unsure of size like i was, i'd say if your dog is 100lbs or less, the 42 will be perfect. No complaints

When I first got this crate, I knew I wanted to use it for crate training, however, I seriously had no idea what I was doing. Nada. Zilch.

I thought we were all set. We have the crate. We have the puppy. Now what?

It comes with a divider. I thought the divider was for two dogs, until my daughters fiancé showed me how to use it :-)

If anybody else doesn't know, the divider is designed to give them just enough room to turn around, lay down comfortably and sleep. You can adjust the divider as the puppy grows. Apparently, if you don't use the divider, they will potty in the crate.

The crate is working well for our puppy. I felt like a meany at first, but, it all worked out. Our puppy will randomly visit her crate during the day and does not see the crate as a punishment.

The assembly is super easy. It's strong, it's sturdy & it's actually bigger than what I visualized. It has this tray in the bottom that slides out for easy cleaning. The doors and latches are easy to use. It is definitely chew proof!

It is difficult for me to adjust the divider as she grows, so I try to do that when somebody strong is available to help.

I would definitely recommend this product.

I thought I was going to have to put it all together, at least all sides and the divider, but it's made to fold over so when you lift it up, 4 sides are permanently together and fold back on top of one another. The two ends are so simple to attach, it's absolutely idiot-proof. The divider can be used at any length and is very helpful for puppy training to give them more and more room as they become better trained and grow larger. It is taller than other cages that I have seen which is great! I looked at a cheaper model and almost got it because I'm a tightwad, but I am so glad I went with my gut on this decision and spent just a little more money. By the way, the price on this one is very good. The cheaper model I looked at was cheaper than any other one I found and I didn't see how they could sell them so cheaply. The answer is that they sell very cheap products and I love saving money but my pets deserve to be safe and I don't want to cut corners by risking their well-being. I would not have been satisfied with a cheaply made cage that could injure or even kill a beloved pet, as there are a number of ways that they can harm them. Instead, I am more than satisfied knowing that my pets are safe and secure and this cage will last forever so that also makes it a better buy. I would recommend it to anyone without question. It also showed up in 2 days rather than the 3 days I was expecting. Definitely overachievers!!
