So, when this was delivered I hooked it up and tried it out and it worked great. Then about 30 days later the temperature dropped and I went to go use it again and it didn't work. Not sure what happened but it we tried it on multiple tanks and multiple heaters. Very disappointed to throw $45 down the drain. Would have returned it but it failed one week after the return cutoff.

This hose is exactly what I was looking for. I was using the 1 lb bottles, but it is just quite expensive. I use my Big Buddy heater for several things such as heating my garage for work on vehicles during winter, and using as a space heater in the house to keep one room warm. This hose with the quick release works perfectly and can be attached so quickly to the Big Buddy.On the other end, this hose even has the easy to attach black plastic style screw on part that goes onto the 20lb tank. Seriously its so much better than having to use a wrench to attach it! I've also used this hose attached to a 20lb propane tank and to my Big Buddy, to keep warm when grilling outside in the cold for literally hours when we were cooking for crowds (at church and a schools). I would have gone through a lot of the little bottles, so this hose already started paying for itself saving me money. Seems expensive at first but not when you extrapolate that expense out figuring what you save by not having to purchase the little bottles; and hooking up to the 20lb tanks instead. Got this for my Big Buddy heater. I'm glad I chose this one over the other models as I didn't want to mess with filters or oils leaching into the unit. This is hose is expensive but seems to be a quality product. It has the regulator built into the hose and from all the reviews this is actually a much safe way to go when fueling the Big Buddy heater. This pretty much looks identical to what you have on your grill.

When you plug this into the heater it takes about a minute to purge the air out and have propane enter the heater. My only gripe with this is I wish it was a longer hose. I got the big buddy heater to heat my two car attached garage in the winter time when I am working on the cars. There is a part of me that is not comfortable with a propane tank in the garage while I am grinding/doing work on stuff. If this hose was 20' I could then stick the tank out in front of the garage, shut the door and have the hose run all the way to the spot where I want the heater"¦ as it sits now I cannot do that. However the quick disconnect looks like it can be removed (threaded), so if that IS the case, I will be buying a longer section of hose to attach to this hose and then attach the quick disconnect on the other hose end giving me a longer hose and keeping the 20lb propane tank OUT of the garage. I wish Mr. Heater would make a longer hose. Even if it was more money I would buy it.

Well worth it for us. We use this to heat our detached garage during the winter when doing projects or having company over. We would fly through the 1 lb propan tanks. This gives us over 12 hours of continuous heat. We didn't notice any change in the amount of time it took to get the heater started. If it does take longer it is minimal.

A little on the expensive side (reason for 4 stars), but in this case you do get what you pay for. The last thing you want when pumping propane into a flame source is cheep/faulty tubing or high/unintended gas flow. It is true what other reviewers have stated, be patient and allow time for the gas to reach the heater through this long regulated hose.
