My previous fireplace grate was falling apart and no longer holding logs. This grate is truly fantastic. Our fires have been better, it holds logs just perfectly, and no accidentally log roll out. It's a sturdy grate, high enough to provide a lot of latitude and oxygen. It's a great grate (haha, pun intended), and I highly recommend it.

I have a large fireplace. I bought the home with it's standard size (15") grate. After watching several logs burn in their middle and split in 2 and fall off the small grate I decided to purchase this unit. I haven't had a fire yet (it's suddenly gotten warmer here in N. Texas) but I have confidence this grate will be superb.

This grate (model 330ml) isn't the exact dimensions listed. It is listed on Amazon and the manufacturer's website as being 30" Front, 26-3/4" Back. The back of my fireplace was just shy of 27" wide and when I placed this in it, it wouldn't seat all the way in the back. Took it out and remeasured the fireplace and this grate and the grate is actually about 27 1/2" wide in the back and 29 1/2" wide in the front. Not a huge difference, but enough for it not to fit in my fireplace. Other than that, it seems like a high quality grate. I ordered the next size down (327ml) from the same manufacturer (Vesta) to use instead.
