Cherokee: the workhorse for the career worker.

This cherokee line is for the invested worker who wants to spend money on well made scrub uniforms: strong fabric's that hold up to years of heavy use, frequent washing, snaps that hold, corner seams and pockets that take the weight and stress of the tools of our trade, bandage scissors, hemostats, maglights and phones clipped to cargo pockets without failing. In 28 yrs as a ICU nurse my jackets are the first line of protection against sudden and unexpected blood and body fluid contamination. They need to be heavy enough to repel saturation long enough for me to peel off and isolate the garment so I do not have to do a shower and scrub change. Cherokee's work wear line is that workhorse. These jackets have knit cuffs that do not go wimpy after a year of constant washing. I wear a 3-piece scrub set each shift and own 8-10 sets so they get a well rotated wash and wear cycle. I do not mix my street clothes with work scrubs in the laundry. Scrubs are always washed separately, in hot water, regardless of color and they look great five years on. I replaced this when a red ink gel pen exploded in my pocket. The jacket couldn't be saved but the ink did not leak through to my scrub top and pants beneath which was a godsend!
Fits as expected, washes up well.

Fits fine. I just don't like that the long sizing sticker that is down the front left such a nasty sticky residue. Took a good 3 washings to get that off. That is the only reason for the 4 stars rather than 5. Didn't have time for the added work. Otherwise, washes well, fits like the rest of Cherokee Workwear scrubs - reliably generally the same every time.
Nice Scrub Jacket

I like the fit and feel of the scrub jacket. However I do recommend ordering one size larger than your normal size for greater comfort. I also recommend cold water wash and low temp dry to avoid shrinkage.
I like it

Great jacket for the price! The cuffs on the sleeves are soft and stretchy so I can pull them up when I need to. I tried a small on in a store and it was way too long in the body & fit more like a dress. So I ordered the X-small and it fits right in the body but the sleeves are the tiniest bit short. I'm 5'4" 140 lbs.
Arms too short
K9Mom✓ Verified Purchase•July 17, 2017
The only issue I have with the scrub is that the arms are too short. I have always purchased the same size of other brands off the rack and the sleeves fit perfectly. I don't know if this is just a Cherokee brand issue or if these are defective. I have purchased two of them and they are both the same.
