I've been a fan of Simple Green for ages now, but I always found the scent just a bit off-putting - not horrible, but not really pleasant, either.
The Crystal formulation is free of that. Another plus is that it has no dyes, so I can use it in my carpet cleaner even on my lightest-colored carpets without worrying about it leaving a greenish residue behind.

For a while now I've just been cleaning my bike chain with a degreaser and a white rag. I finally went out and bought one of those chain cleaners and this jug of simple green. I can't believe I didn't get this stuff a long time ago, cleaning my chain is so much easier now. I just fill the chain cleaner with simple green undiluted up to the line and then crank the pedals for a couple minutes. Then I dump out the dirty concentrate and do it once or twice more with water before re-lubing the chain. Simple green is the perfect liquid for cleaning a bike chain.

Non toxic, biodegradable, degreaser that works. Put it in your windshield washer container takes road grime off windshield and improves wiper blades. Run this through pneumatic hoses used with paint sprayers to clean and preserve the integrity of the rubber hoses. Cleans brake dust off of wheels better than anything. Cleans when you wash it down the drain all the way to the water treatment plant.

I do fishing reel repair / restoration... this product does not work. I dropped a greasy levelwind guide into this solution and nothing happened. I let it sit for at least 10 minutes it did not break down the grease so I returned the product to Amazon. Amazon stepped up to the plate provided a return shipping label and refunded my money ...kudos! I subsequently
purchased Ardent reel Kleen reel cleaner. although more expensive and more caustic it's an excellent product that does what it's supposed to if you need to remove grease and grime!
