Hands down the best double boiler I've ever used! It's very sturdy and doesn't splash boiling water as it cooks since it's an enclosed system. The packaging was sufficient and shipping was right on schedule. LOVE THIS!

Saw this in a store and my mother-in-law bought it for me. The first one arrived with a broken handle, the return was easy and the new one arrived in perfect condition. It performs well, just don't fill to max line, start with about half a liter and let it heat up then fill from there, I found if you fill to the max with cold or room temp water (I use a bottle of Ice Mountain water) it expands and the level rises above the max line and sprays out the fill hole. Draining it, you have to turn it over with the fill lid open and shake the water out, but for double boilers, it's great! Perfect size and isn't as space consuming as a two pan version. I recommend it. I won't put it in the dishwasher though, hand was only because of the material the handle is made out of, which tends to crack in dishwashers.

It's good, but be very careful tilting it too much if you pour out the melted chocolate, because the water will also come out.......right into your chocolate! Not the best design

I absolutely love this for melting chocolate and other goodies. It is perfect! I would rather use this than go with 2 pans and mess of other things. Fill it up and put in on and keep it under the whistle stage and it is perfect.
Cooking milk leaves a film burn on the bottom

I bought this so that I could cook milk in it for making my own cappiccino. I asked a question before I bought it about if it cooks milk well, and had a positive answer. However, whenever I cook the milk there is a film that sticks to the bottom of the pan. I tried a lower heat and it doesn't seem to matter. So, if you're cooking milk with this, BEWARE.
