My old diverted spout was part of a Kohler Forte valve kit installed 6 years ago, the plastic diverter stopper and housing failed due to deposit buildup from well water, I was able to remove and clean it out once but the second time around it was done, this new diverter is exactly what came with original kit and took me about five minutes to install hopefully I'm going to get six years out of this one.

Perfect fit, works better than the original... diverter was obviously updated seeing as how it looks completely different than the one I had (which NEVER worked the way it was supposed to). There's still a little water coming out of the faucet when you engage the shower, but only a drip as opposed to the stream I had with the original model.
But for less that $20 I picked up this nice piece, which is well made and quite attractive ...

I tried a few different tricks to stop the old one from leaking but the water pressure in my house is 60 psi so, once the seals failed, there was no fixing it. But for less that $20 I picked up this nice piece, which is well made and quite attractive compared to the standard rectangular one that was already installed. It is a slip-on type connection and it fit perfectly without any issues or leaks at all. Works perfectly and the price was hard to beat. .
