Terrible design if your B and Bb tone holes are on the outside- Don't waste your money.
DavidSeptember 24, 2017
I have a curved soprano from Kessler Music. The design of this sax peg is very poor. The lower peg is asymmetrical and longer on the right arm so it tips the sax over as it hits the tone holes. DON'T buy this product if your lower B and Bb holes are on the outside. (unless you are going to modify the bracket yourself). The seller does not consider this a defect and it will cost you to ship it back, minus a 20% restocking fee. It's not worth shipping it back since I already had to pay shipping already. I might as well modify the stand to work.
Terrible design and workmanship

Well maybe I just got a lemon reading these other reviews, but what arrived on my doorstep is just junk. First, to sell this WITHOUT the bolt you'll need to connect it to your base stand is simply stupid. Once I got back from the hardware store and hooked it up, I realized that the lower brace's right part was nearly twice as long as the left, resulting in its bumping into the bell holes. As a result, it only sits in the stand while shifted dangerously to the left. Moreover, it EASILY tips over, as the curve isn't deep enough. And I'm talking about the same Yanagisawa SC991 that others are talking about. Piece of junk. AND overpriced: $25 PLUS they charged nearly $11 for shipping! Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, and it's going back pronto.
My Yani curved sits very nicely on this peg
James R. JohnsonMay 26, 2017
My Yani curved sits very nicely on this peg, and the peg does have two mounting holes, one larger, so it works on my Hercules alto stand. But, if I have the sop peg at the same angle as the alto, and I take the alto off the stand when there are no other horns on the stand, the weight of the sop will make it lean backwards. I solved this by mounting the sop peg at the same direction as the leg of the stand, and now it won't tip backwards if the sop is the only horn on the stand. Otherwise it's great and there is just enough room for a flute or clarinet on the peg used to mount the sop peg.
Excellent - small stand for Soprano Sax

Price is great, just wish they had worked to hurcules sizing for the attachment,.. than it would have been a 5 stars!
As more stands that this would go on are from that Company,.. but,.. small mod on my stand and we're all good!
thanks!
Great Value Despite Minor Design Flaw
Christopher M. CardenNovember 24, 2015
Excellent value, holds my 1920s curved Martin and fits right under the clarinet/flute/straight soprano peg of any of my sax stands. It's a tight fit, though, to get a clarinet or flute on the peg. Very difficult to squeeze a straight soprano behind the curved without hitting bells. I would make the flat bar another two inches longer to position the curved soprano away from the other instrument. Clever, clever design, though. My mouthpiece cap off to the inventor.
