I regret not sizing down, but I usually need extra room in the toes. Feels very loose, but very nice for arch support. I've been struggling to find a shoe that feels good and this fits that bill. So I'm happy!

1st and foremost, these are jazz shoes so you need to buy these 1 whole size up unless you like your shoes really narrow and tight against the skin. (Uncomfortably so I mean.) Dance shoes are not work shoes so they should fit slightly more snug. As others have mentioned the bottom is slick like plastic which would be dangerous on a slick floor such as at a gym. As someone who will be using them on slick, hard floors, I personally wish they had a tad bit more traction, but its nothing a little sandpaper or razor won't fix. Otherwise, they are very comfortable, and they also breathe well. They are really light which is great when you're dancing. Def. a great buy, and they are significantly more comfortable than my previous pair from a different brand.

***Update*** After putting them to the test at a high impact Zumba class they were still very comfortable at the end of the day and were easy to move in. I still maintain it was a must to order a full size up, and a little extra traction should be added if using a particularly slick floor as there were times I was kind of sliding around.

The shoes fit well and are comfortable.

I purchased these Dansneakers for Zumba class at my local community center. I made the mistake of wearing trail runners at the first class, which was a disaster for my knees and hips - too much traction! The Capezio Dansneakers were ideal for later classes - allowing support with plenty of slide and spin!

As noted by other customers, the sizing is a little weird. I am a very straight 9.5 street shoe, and typically size down for dance shoes, ice skates, etc., so I ordered a 10 based on the reviews and my usual preferences - with low cut athletic socks, the 10 was TOO SMALL - so I switched my socks to thin Swiftwick Performance Zero Socks running socks and the fit was ideal. 2 hours, no blisters, arches, toes, heels intact. They're not attractive to look at, but did the job and I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

So, if you prefer thick/padded athletic socks, definitely order one full size up. If you wear tights/stockings or thin wicking socks, half a size larger than street shoe will probably do you fine. They felt a little odd at first, but wore like marshmallows once on the move. :) Best of all, they offer a fine combination of traction, slide, and shock absorbance compared to cross trainers or less supportive dance shoes. I checked off that these fit as expected, but maybe that's misleading. I expected these to run small, and they do. I wear a 13 and ordered a half size up. They felt just the tiniest bit snug but I took a chance and wore them to a dance class and they were fine. I had read another review that said they will stretch and it makes sense if you think about the fact that there is a split sole. So as long as they don't keep stretching they'll be perfect. They are so much more comfortable compared to regular sneakers, too; I felt a big difference in how my knees and hips felt after an hour of dancing. I'm really pleased that these come in a good range of larger sizes. And they don't look as bad in a large size as I had feared. All in all, I'm a fan.
